SARAKI, YAKUBU WINS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY LEADERSHIP POLLS

Sen Bukola Saraki Former governor of kwara state, currently a  senator at national assembly, has emerged as the 8th president of the house of senate .
Saraki defeated his opponent Sen Ahmed Lawan, who were both from the same All Progressives Congress, APC.

Meanwhile Hon Yakubu Dogara emerges as the 8th speaker of the lower house at the national assembly. Yakubu who has a total vote of 182, defeated Hon Femi Gbajabiamila who has 174 votes. The two are both from the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Saraki has been sworn in by the clerk of the house of Senate, while Yakubu has also been sworn in by the clerk of the house of representative.
