BANKS, TELECOMMUNICATION, MEDIA HOUSES AND OTHERS TO SHUT DOWN ACTIVITIES

Due to the current scarcity of petroleum product, as a result the ongoing strike by oil marketers in Nigeria. Various private and public organizations are now planning to shutdown activities, most of them have been sending SMS, EMAILS to notify their customers. Organization planning to shutdown activities include MTN, AIRTEL, some TV AND RADIO STATIONS, Some banks also plans to close by 1pm, and others. Meanwhile taxi drivers have doubled their tariff.

IFEANYI UBAH TO SUBDUE FUEL SCARCITY WITH 13MILLION LITERS

The chairman of CAPITAL OIL Ifeanyi Ubah, has promised Nigerians 13million liter of petroleum product to depots around the country, This is to subdue the present fuel scarcity in Nigeria, as a result of the ongoing strike by oil marketer. Ubah made these known in a press release, that It's company that would be pulling out of the on going strike.
He also said, more than 2000 truck, would be loaded before May 29.

PRESS STATEMENT BELOW

“On Saturday 16th May 2015, we received an SMS ordering the suspension of loading activities in all depots from Monday 18th May 2015. We later realized that this directive was as a result of unpaid funds owed to transporters by oil marketers who in turn are owed by the Federal Government.”

“This development has resulted in immense hardship to our fellow country men and women. We believe that a better solution can be pursued towards solving this problem in a way that does not adversely affect our dear citizens.”

“Capital Oil and Gas has watched with so much pain, the suffering and hardship our citizens have been subjected to as a result of scarcity of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and house hold kerosene.”

“We are deeply pained to hear that hospitals cannot perform surgeries, laboratories are unable to carry out much needed tests especially for emergency patients leaving such patients at risk of dying, radio stations are shutting down, communication is being affected as MTN and other telecommunications company have announced an impending shut down while homes, offices and key facilities nationwide are experiencing blackouts.”

“We are constrained at this point and have decided that two wrongs cannot make a right. We will not be part of this sabotage against our fatherland. Therefore from this minute, we shall take the risk of opening our facilities and commence swift loading and distribution of products Nationwide.”

“Our facility has the capacity to load over 13 million litres of product before dawn. This comes to approximately 400 trucks of petroleum products. With this act, it is our belief that once again our citizens will begin to smile, return to normal family and work life.”

“We call on other petroleum marketers to follow suit and save our Nation from this impending economic and social crisis. This is a period that requires patriotism and service to fatherland. Let’s join hands to help our fellow citizens and save Nigeria. We also call on striking bodies to call off the strike action. Let us work together for the betterment of our people.”

“As we brief you this moment, our truck park, port reception facilities and our depot complex have been ordered opened. We are ordering and resuming discharge of products from vessels at our berths. We have ordered our trucks to commence loading of products and move overnight to every state of the Federation.”

VIGILANTE RESCUES EKITI 11 HOSTAGES FROM KIDNAPPERS DEN

The 11 people who were taken hostage 3 week ago by unknown kidnappers in Ekiti state, were found at the early hours of today, 23 of May in a bush at Esure Ekiti. The hostages which included Dr Mrs Alade (lecture at EKSU), Dr Adigun's wife (former EKSUTH director) , Dr omisore (OAU lecturer) and Mrs aladenika (FMC Ido Ekiti nurse) among other were rescued by vigilante men in Esure. The abductees have been taken to the palace of the king of Esure - Ekiti ( Elesure).

24 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO DUMP HER BABY TO SECURE A LIVING IN LIVERPOOL

24 year old Biabiana Stranaka who relocated from Slovakia to Liverpool sent back home her 6 month old baby boy after given birth to him. Bibiana relocated to Liverpool in search of job and a party lifestyle.

Bibiana whose parent weren't aware about her pregnancy had earlier told the social service, she wouldn't be able to Care for the child, despite the fact she hasn't given birth then.

Her baby Benjamin was cared for by the local authority after sending him to Slovakia, while she continues her job as a cafe waitress.

The grieved Hausa trader in the state set ablaze some parts of the Erekesan market (Ado Central Market) along Ijigbo road. HOW OSUN STATE WORKER ALMOST COMMIT SUICIDE OVER UNPAID SALARY

A senior civil servant, Mr Ojo Owolabi, who is a worker at the Obokun Local Government Area in Osun state; almost killed himself by drinking a large quantity of herbicide.
 
According to PUNCH METRO Mr Ojo, who is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, Was reported to have drank gramoxone due to frustration of not being able to feed his family member, as a result of 6 month unpaid worker salary; by the state government.

A close relation to Mr Owolabi told punch metro that “Baba Ibeji ( Owolabi) drank herbicide. He was frustrated because he has been unable to feed himself and other members of his family. “You are aware that the state government has not paid workers for some months now. I think he just lost hope and decided to take his life by drinking Gramoxone. “Members of his family rushed him to a hospital in Ile Ife, where he was admitted".
