Mass concrete is one of the vital materials used in civil engineering. The structure element comprises of mass concrete includes
1. Water
2. Cement
3. Sand
4. Gravel.
PRODUCTION OF INTERLOCKING BLOCKS
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT INCLUDES
1. Krebs
2. Cement
3. Water
4. Sand dust.
5. Spade
6. Hand trowel
7. Lubricant oil
8. Head pan/wheel barrow
9. FIG 4 SHOW THE LAYED INTERLOCK BLOCK
FIG 5 THE CONCRETE MIXTURE
OBEJECTIVES
The production of interlocking blocks. It can be uses for the flooring of parking dot, school compounds, house environment and lots more
ADVANTAGES
1. Low cost
2. It add more to the beatification of the surface area in which it’s layed
DISADVANTAGE
1. It requires a lot of time to lay them.
PROCEDURE
● Get a clean platform i.e a clean surface where u can mix.
● Measure the proportion of what you want to mix
● For instance measure 12 head pans or 0ne wheelbarrow of sandstone to strengthen the concrete.
● Then add a bag (50kg) of cement and mix it together with the sandstone in a good proportion using spade.
● Thereafter split the portion into 2 portions, the second portion has more cement than the others.
● Add water to both portion and mix with sand dust in the chemical reaction.
● CAVING (this is to prevent water from escaping from the mixture
● Stir the mixture together properly
● Thereafter oil each of the kreps (for easy removal after sun drying)
● then pour the mixture into the kreps and sundry.
● leave the concrete in the kreps till the next day before removal.
CONCRETE
Concrete is a core aspect in construction.
USES
1. They are uses for Column
2. They are used for beams
3. They are used for lintel
● COLLUMNS AND BEAM are used to analyse the structure shape.
● COARSE GRAVEL AND FINE SAND— This is found either naturally or manmade.
● BASHING--- This is the rate of mixing the various proportion of materials to form a concrete.
