EKITI STATE PROTEST AGAINST FAYOSE IMPEACHMENT

Indigenes and the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state, has protest against the plot by the 19 APC law makers to impeach the state governor Ayodele Fayose. The 19 APC law markers who alleged the governor of an eight impeachable offence had since the 17th of November 2014, abdicated their duties as a law marker in the state. Security operatives barricaded the roads leading to the Ekiti state house of assembly and also the roads leading to the state. Vehicles were debarred from entering and leaving the state.
More also, protesters In the state blocked strategic roads leading to the state house of assembly with government buses and log of woods.
Fayose yesterday in a media chat denounced the rumour circulating around that President Goodluck Jonathan advise him to resign as the governor of the state. He also said that he hasn't received any impeachment notification from the 19 APC lawmakers.

Ekiti state (south Western Nigeria) has 26 state house of assembly lawmakers, out of which 19 are APC party members while 7 are PDP. members
