On the 9th of June, Members of the incoming 8th National Assembly, would be electing the Senate President, and also the speaker of the house of representative. The strong contenders for the post of Senate President are Sen Bukola Saraki, Sen George Akume and Senator Ahmed Lawan. Also for the lower house are Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and Hon.Yakubu Dogara are strong conterders for the seat of Speaker.
