President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said his administration would conduct a Free and fair election, the President who spoke in television interview on Wednesday said he would hand over government to the winner of the coming election if he eventually lose. President GEJ said "I wanted to create the first history to be the first African President that will lose election, but let the world know that the election are  free and fair. The President also said this again in his interview  that “ if as at that time I was ready to conduct free and fair election and if I lose I go, what about now that Nigerians have given me the opportunity to be here for four good years,” he furthermore said. “So if the elections are conducted and I lose, of course, we’ll inaugurate a new government. By saying if I lose I will not handover, those are the unnecessary insinuations.”

INEC SHIFTS PVC COLLECTION DATE

The independent national electoral commission as announced a new closing date for the collection of permanent votets card (PVC), to the 8th of march 2015; these was said by the inec Secretary, Mrs Augusta C. Ogakwu "the commission had to extend the collection date following the announcement of a new election date to the 28th of march and also 11th if April".

INEC POSTPONE 2015 GENERAL ELECTION

INEC chairman, professor Atairu Jega  last night announced the postponement of this year 2015 general election. The election earlier scheduled to commence on the 14th of February as been shifted to the 28th of march and 11th of April. The inec boss said that the election for  Presidential and national assembly would hold on the 28th of March, while state and local race would hold on the 11th of April 2015.
